A special car requires a special effort, so when Peter from The Redline asked if we had time to squeeze in a quick photo shoot of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante we made sure we could make it happen.
Rhys had a really narrow window of opportunity for this shoot before his flight to our next big job at 11am. With filming of the review to commence at 9am, we managed to convince Peter to get up before sunrise and meet us down by the waterfront to quickly snap some shots of the car before he headed off to the filming location.
It was extremely fortunate that sunrise really popped, with just enough cloud cover to create a fantastic background for the shoot, making for some really stunning photos as you can see below.
The light changes rapidly when shooting at sunrise and sunset which means a lot of thinking on your feet and really rushing through shots, changing angles and repositioning the car to take advantage of the fantastic light.
It can be quite tricky particularly when working with small portable lights to make sure the car is correctly lit to showcase it’s best features while also balancing out the brightness of the sunrise, madly rushing around adjusting settings, but the results are always worth the effort.
Following the sunrise, Rhys followed Peter down to the filming location quickly to capture a couple details shots ahead of the film crew arriving to make sure all the angles were covered for the review, before heading back to the airport.
While it was a rushed shoot the effort was certainly worth the reward, check out a couple of Rhys’s favourite photos from the photo shoot and also watch Peter’s review of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante for The Redline (filmed and edited by Mitch at Ford Productions) below.
