July is a fantastic time of year to follow the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship… Actually, national level motorsport, with a winter getaway to Queensland for the majority of the month.

The scheduling boffins who put together the calendars for both the Supercars and the Shannons Nationals must appreciate the warmer weather as much as we do. We kicked off July escaping southern states winter with a trip up to Townsville for the eighth Supercars round of the year.

Our program was extremely busy up in Townsville with a huge workload supporting our customers across the Dunlop Super2 Series, SuperUtes and the Toyota 86 Racing Series, as well as a couple of other jobs that popped up in the lead up to the event so we brought up an extra photographer to make sure we took care of everyone properly. One of the reasons we try to confirm with our customers their requirements well in advance.

This year’s trip to Townsville was another reminder of why it’s one of our favourite stops on the calendar, even if Saturday was uncharacteristically cloudy. Not something we’ve ever experienced in our numerous trips to Northern Queensland before.

Anyway, that’s enough about the weather, we’ve put together a very small selection of some of our favourite photos from the Supercars round up in Townsville. As always if you’d like to see our recent events head on over to our facebook page.
