No rest here… Straight after Hampton Downs we headed directly to Pukekohe for the penultimate Supercars round.

Our streak of wet race meetings continued at Pukekohe, in fact it was so wet that Supercars qualifying on Saturday had to be cancelled all together, leaving officials to have revert to practice times to set the grid for Saturdays race. We’ve lost count of how many wet race meetings in row that is, but hopefully it dries out soon.

It was good to see some familiar faces in the support paddock across the weekend. Andre Heimgartner and Jack Smith in the NZ V8 Touring Cars and Cameron Hill and Dylan Gulson in the New Zealand Toyota 86 Series. While the Aussies probably didn’t get the results they were looking for, our chats with them indicated it was good experience none the less.

Auto Action also asked us to report on some of the action for them, so it made for a busy weekend working on both photos and words across a number of categories. No doubt those will appear in the next issue in a week or so.

Here’s a collection of some of our favourite photos from Supercars action at Pukukohe. We’ve also shared some favourites from the support categories as well as our customers galleries on our Facebook Page, if you’d like to check those out. Also make sure you follow us on our FacebookInstagram or Twitter for more photos from upcoming events.
