Traditionally the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship round at New Zealand Pukekohe Raceway is a quiet event for us. However, this year’s trip, our second to New Zealand for 2018, was actually quite busy.

As the category photographer for the Australian Formula 4 Championship, we had a busy program lined up for Pukekohe with the category holding its final round over in New Zealand. As well a some of the local categories for Auto Action’s coverage of the weekend.

Not only did we cover the on-track action for Formula 4 and our customers within the category at Pukekohe, but we also covered their end of year function at an amazing venue in Auckland overlooking the harbour.

We’ve got to make special mention of Jayden Ojeda, a customer of InSyde Media throughout 2018 who claimed the 2018 Formula 4 title. Congratulations Jayden! Looking forward to working with you again in 2019.

Matt Stone Racing also asked us to cover their needs in New Zealand after their usual photographer who was unable to make the trip.

It was great to work with Todd Hazelwood again and team, providing them with “live photo coverage” over during the Supercars sessions so they could keep their social media up to date as it happened via our direct from camera photosystem, something we use for categories we work with regularly. It was great to get a Supercars team feedback on the system for the first time and it’s something we are looking to expand upon in 2019.

Here’s a small selection of some of our favourite photos from the Supercars round at Pukekohe Raceway, head over to Formula 4’s Facebook Page to see more of our work from over in New Zealand
