Photo Gallery: Bathurst 12 Hour 2020
If this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour had a theme, it would have been kangaroos and carnage.
But did I personally happen to get photos of either the kangaroos or the carnage? Well, ah… No. And that’s why I always make sure to put together a good team to cover the on-track action so we (as in InSyde Media) don’t miss it. I definitely put Nath in the firing line at Mt Panorama to get all the good action shots this year.
Each year the Bathurst 12 Hour gets a little bit bigger. The intensity in the outright competition once again stepped up and those crashes, particularly in qualifying, showing just how hard all the teams were pushing this year. Taking a win at Mt Panorama is serious business for these GT3 teams.
The conditions were brutal too… Proper hot! Sitting at the top of the mountain at 5am on race day and it was already 27 degrees. At least the region got a much-needed rainstorm as the chequered flag dropped at the end of the race.
It was also great to see so many of our customers feature on the podium, particularly the class podiums, at the end of a long hard gruelling day. And while not a customer, it was fantastic to see the Bentley boys finally get a win at Mt Panorama after coming close so many times. The outpouring of emotion from the crew shows just how much this race means to the international teams.
With that all said and done, here’s a couple of my personal favourite photos from Mt Panorama. As always if you are looking for photos from Bathurst 12 Hour, would like to chat about further events this year or anything else to help you prepare for the 2020 motorsport season, be sure to get in touch.
