Mt Panorama is such a fantastic race track, not just from a driving point of view, but photographically it offers so many opportunities to create fantastic images. Not to mention every time we race there, that we end up with such a noteworthy story at the end of the race, and this years Bathurst 1000 was no different.

The Bathurst 1000 week is always a busy week for us. We always kick off the week early with a couple of photo shoots for our customers.

Bathurst is such a special place for a lot of our customers, as it is for anyone involved in Australian motorsport, that a lot of our clients organise a photo shoot in advance with the iconic Mt Panorama sign in the background. It’s great for pre-event press releases and promotion, but it’s also a good keepsake of such an iconic event.

We had so much work on for Bathurst, especially with our ever-growing list of customers in the Toyota 86 Racing Series, as well as those in the V8 Utes and Touring Car Masters, that we organised an additional photographer, Nathan, to come in and help out to really make sure our customers ended up with diverse selection of photos of them racing at The Mountain. From all reports it worked out exceptionally well, particularly with such little track time (relatively) for the support categories, it was great to be able to step up our level service to our customers. It’s something we’d like to do more of, but we need to make sure we have the clients at each event to back it up.

As for the main race, the Bathurst 1000, it delivered yet again. Regardless of whether it’s a 1000 kilometer race, 6 hour race or 12 hour race around Mt Panorama, every year it just keeps building up to deliver a dramatic ending, much like this year. It was good to see one of the “underdog” teams Erebus take out the win. It’s such a great story for the sport. If we can keep the fans entertained, we get to keep coming back and doing it again next year.

Here’s a collection of some of our favourite photos from the Supercars at Mt Panorama. We’ve posted a small gallery of our favourite photos from the support categories over on our Facebook Page, so make sure you check those out as well.
