After a busy few weeks on the road, it was good to get back to our “home” race meeting with the Supercars at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Even though Sydney Motorsport Park really isn’t that close to home, it’s the closest thing we have a local race meeting. Well, at least until we get to Newcastle in November.

Sydney was also the busiest race meeting we’ve ever had in terms of customers. It was the most customers we’ve ever had a single race meeting, with plenty competitors across the Australian GT, Dunlop Super2 Series, Toyota 86 Series and Formula 4 using our services.

It really made for a massive work load over the course of the event. What made it really rewarding was seeing our customers doing so well in Sydney. In Australian GT Liam Talbot and John Martin qualified on pole before finishing second in the 500 kilometre enduro. Anton De Pasquale won a race and the round in Dunlop Super2. Cameron Hill clean swept the Toyota 86 Series, qualifying on pole and winning all three races, with six of our customer in the top ten by the end of the weekend. While in Formula 4, Cameron Shields qualified on pole and won the opening race.

We were also on hand to capture the Supercars lighting/night racing test on Thursday night for Auto Action, which was very interesting to see first hand. You’ll know from our time at photographing the Shannons Nationals at Queensland Raceway, we’re big fans of night racing and the interesting photography opportunities it present. We’re really looking forward to seeing what happens with Supercars and night racing.

We also hung around on Monday and Tuesday after the race meeting to photograph passenger rides for Prodrive Racing Australia. That’s another really rewarding experience, seeing people getting an insight into what it’s like to drive a Supercar. The smiles on their faces after the rides says it all.

That all said, another good Supercars event in the books. Here’s a collection of some of our favourite photos from the event.  We’ve posted a small gallery of our favourite photos from the support categories and shared some of our customers galleries over on our Facebook Page, so make sure you check those out as well.
