We’re fortunate that we get to cover so many great events at such a fantastic circuit like Mt Panorama. The Bathurst 6 Hour was the second of four trips to the mountain for 2017.

The recent success and growth of the Bathurst 12 Hour has created more opportunities for events to be run at Mt Panorama. Which lead the creation of the Bathurst 6 Hour last year (replacing the Bathurst Motor Festival).

In its second year, the 6 Hour has grown to be a massive event in its own right. This year a record 64 production cars lined up for the start of the race. Not only that, but several new cars were built specifically for the event. Hopefully they should filter through to the Australia Production Car Series during the year, with the Bathurst 6 Hour being the opening round of their championship.

It’s a great sign for production car racing in Australia, but it’s also great for our business with so many of our regular customers on the grid. As well as a great opportunity to work with several new customers as production car racing grows.

Moving on to some of our photos from the weekend. Here’s a small collection of some of Rhys Vandersyde’s favourite photo’s from the Bathurst 6 Hour at Mt Panorama. You can find plenty more in the current issue of Auto Action magazine.
